Mushroom Guide

White : Rare : Black
White Mushrooms

The White Mushrooms are the most common of all the Mushrooms, but challenging to overcome in themselves. The basic way to defeat them is by using magic. When they make a gesture, counter it with a certian spell. The following is a chart of the gestures:

GestureSpell
Fans itselfBlizzard
Light Shines on themThunder
Lays on groundCure
Spins in PlaceAero
FreezesStop
FloatsGravity

It takes three spells for them to drop their prizes. If three of the same spell are cast, they will reward you with an "Arts" item. Obtain all of the "Arts", then visit Merlin to get Goofy's Dream Sheild. Also when the Mushrooms are defeated they will drop tons of MP balls to refill your magic, so don't hold back. The White Mushrooms are also one of the easiest ways to obtain the rare item Mystery Goo. They will drop this on occasion, it doesn't matter which spells you cast, it's random. The trickiest part about the white mushrooms is just finding them, so I'm going to include a list of locations:

Traverse Town: Red Room (before battle LV change)
Deep Jungle: Camp
Deep Jungle: Treehouse
Halloween Town: Graveyard
Olympus Coliseum: Hades Cup 6th seed (does not drop items)
End of the World: Linked Worlds
Atlantica: Sunken Ship and Undersea Cave
Agrabah: Treasure Rooms
Wonderland: Lotus Forest

Some tips:
Always lock on the Mushrooms, and try to single one out from the other Mushrooms
Sometimes Donald and Goofy will get in your veiw, so try to position yourself well.
The Cure Arts can be found at the in the Deep Jungle: Camp area.
The Gravity Arts can be found at the in the End of the World.
The Stop Arts can be found at the in End of the World.

Rare Truffles

The Rare Truffles are very difficult to find and overcome. They desire to be kept in the air by you hitting them up. This can prove to be nearly impossible, so cast Aeroga to simplify the matter. By casting this, the truffle will just bounce on the spell if you get underneath him. Recast after about 20 bounces. They have a 40% chance of dropping Mystery Goo if they are bounced 10 times. If you bounce them 50 times you get Mystery Goo, an Elixir and the Rare Shiitake Rank, and if you bounce them 100 times you will get Mystery Goo and the Super Rare Matsutake Rank. The Ranks are basically nothing more than bragging rights, but it's nice to have. Here are the Truffles Locations.

Halloween Town: Bridge
Olympus Coliseum: Hercules Cup 6th seed (does not drop items)
Olympus Coliseum: Hades Cup 46th seed (does not drop items)
End of the World: Linked Worlds
Monstro: Throat
Neverland: Ship's Deck

Black Fungus

These Fungi are not helpful or nice. In fact, they are full blown Heartless. Basically, just attack them until they are defeated. Their attack is devastating though, so watch out. They secrete a poisoness gas that sticks to you and constantly deplets your HP. After attacking them a few times they will turn stone. They are invunerable at this point, so keep your distance then. When they turn back to normal finish them off. If you finish the Fungus with a critical hit, it has a 50% chance of dropping mystery mold. This item can be sold for 9,999 munny!

Agrabah: Bazaar
Halloween Town: Moonlight Hill
Olympus Coliseum: Pegasus Cup, 4th seed
Olympus Coliseum: Hades Cup, 36th seed
Hollow Bastion: Cell
End of the World: Linked Worlds
